  IBM P/N: 6139404

  VERSION 1.00

  1985

=======================================================================

This appears to be a more thorough version of the test available on the 5170 (AT) diagnostic floppy.
I suspect that IBM intended that this floppy be used when:
The hard controller/drive tests on the 5170 (AT) diagnostic floppy passes but either hard drive related problem are being seen, or are suspected.

I have run this floppy against the following configurations:
1. IBM 5170 type 1 motherboard with first generation hard/floppy controller fitted.
2. IBM 5170 type 3 motherboard with second generation hard/floppy controller fitted.

Expect this test to run for up to about an hour. Actual duration will vary from configuration to configuration.

During parts of the test, hard drive activity will be seen/heard.

Refer to files 'Instructions_page_1.jpg' and 'Instructions_page_2.jpg' for what the 5170 screen should look like during the test.
