Calendar.dot

Author Wayne Rogers	email: wayers@erols.com
Calendar.dot requires Microsoft Word 97 or newer. It is distributed
as freeware. Although Calendar.dot is not actually a program, it
contains VBA program code that produces a particular kind of Word
document.

1. About Calendar.dot
2. Installation
3. How to create a calendar
4. How to change the display date

1. The file "calendar.dot" is a Word template intended for use with
Microsoft Word97 or newer. The calendar template is used to "manufacture"
a calendar view of a single month. It will automatically create a calendar
representing the current month as defined by the system date of your PC.
The date of the calendar shown can be changed by selecting the toolbar
button "change date". This button will pop up a message box so you can
enter a new date. Click "OK" and the new date will be applied to the
calendar.

2. Be sure to extract the files in this archive onto a machine that has
Microsoft Word already installed. Double click the Setup.doc to install the
calendar template. If you or your network administrator has enabled
"Macro Virus Protection", a warning to that effect will be displayed. It is
entirely your decision whether or not to enable the macro to run on your
machine. Be aware that most of the useful things that Word can do
(like creating calendars) makes enabling Word macros necessary.

3. Within Word, select the file menu. Select "New". A dialogbox should appear
that will display your Word templates. Under the tab marked "Other Documents"
you should find one called "Calendar". Select "Calendar" and click "OK".

4. To change the date, click on the "Change Date" toolbar button. If this
button is not visible, you can run the "ChangeDate" macro. Select the "Tools"
menu. Select "macro". A pop up menu will appear. Select "macros" from this menu.
There should be a list of the word macros available to you. Select "ChangeDate".
Fill in you new date and click "OK". Please note, once you have sent or copied
your new calendar to another Word user, the date of that particlular calendar
can not be changed.
