Welcome, and thank you for trying this Trial Version of Eluent Tools,
a collection of powerful file and folder tools for 32-bit Windows
operating systems. For information on the new features, please see
WhatsNew.txt or the program Help. Version 1.65 is a free update for
registered users.

1. Installation

To install Eluent Tools, unzip all the files in this archive
to a temporary folder and run setup.exe, or use your Zip program's
Install feature, if it has one. Following installation, you can
delete the files you unzipped (if any). You can install Eluent Tools
over an earlier installation, but for best results, close all
Explorer windows first. This will increase the likelihood that setup
will be able to replace the old ElToolsShellEx.dll with the new
ElShellX.dll, and in the future, update ElShellX.dll, without needing
to restart your computer. (These shell extension DLLs provide the
Explorer context menu, and Explorer likes to keep them loaded for
extended periods, which can prevent setup programs from updating
them directly.)

During installation, Eluent Tools Setup will determine if you have
current versions of the three system files listed below:

   mfc42.dll (need 6.00.8267.0 or later)
   msvcrt.dll (need 6.00.8267.0 or later)
   comctl32.dll (need 4.71 or later)

Chances are, you won't need to install any of these updates,
but setup will let you know if you do and offer you the chance to
visit Eluent Software's web site, from which you can download mfc42.exe,
which updates mfc42.dll and msvcrt.dll, and visit Microsoft's web site
to download the Common Controls Update. You can find Eluent's main
download page here:

2. After installing

Following installation, you can run the tools from their Start Menu
group and by selecting them from the Explorer context menu that
appears when you right-click files and folders in Explorer. If you
are a Visual C++ or Visual Studio .NET user and chose during setup
to install some Eluent Tools programs under their respective Tools
menus, you should find them there the next time you run those programs.
Command line, Visual C++, Visual Studio .NET, and FrontPage users
should read the relevant sections under "Application Notes" in
Eluent Tools Help in order to get the most out of Eluent Tools in
those environments.

3. Trial Period

You have 30 days following installation to decide if Eluent Tools
is for you. After this trial period has expired, the programs will
still function, but you'll no longer be able to save Path Plans,
Mask Sets, Replace Plans, or Task Files. Please see the Help for
complete ordering information. You can also view this information
and order securely over the Internet by visiting:

   http://www.eluent.com/order.htm

Version 1.65 is a free update for registered users.
