Eserv/2.91 is the complete solution to access Internet 
from LAN:

- Mail Server (SMTP and POP3, with ability to share one
  mailbox on the ISP, aliases and mail routing support)
- News Server (NNTP)
- Web Server (with CGI, virtual hosts, virtual directory
  support, web-interface for all servers in the package)
- FTP Server (with virtual directory support)
- Proxy Servers
  * FTP proxy and HTTP caching proxy
  * FTP gate
  * HTTPS proxy
  * Socks5, Socks4 and 4a proxy
  * TCP and UDP port mapping
  * DNS proxy
- Finger Server
- Built-in scheduler and dialer (dial on demand,
  dialer server for extern agents, scheduler for any tasks)

Here is the short instructions for installing Eserv/2.91.

* Just run Eserv291.exe to start the installation 
  procedure, then follow the instructions displayed on your
  screen.

* To install Eserv from the distribution disk, choose Run 
  from the Start menu, type a:Eserv291.exe, and press the 
  Enter key.

The Setup program will issue a number of prompts. Unless 
you have a reason to override the defaults it is strongly 
recommended that you accept the installation default 
settings (just press OK, Yes, or Next, as appropriate).

Additional instalation options:

*  If you wish to run Eserv as service (automaticaly 
   loaded on system startup) - start the program 
   install.bat after setup is completed. Under Windows NT 
   you will find service named Eserv.exe in the "Services" 
   group of the "Control Panel". You can manualy start
   and stop Eserv service from this group or change startup
   options.

*  If you don't need Eserv running as service, just run 
   Eserv from  the menu "Start/Programs/Eserv2/Eserv2 Server"
   or run 
   "Eserv.exe /ns" from command line.

Uninstall:

*  To uninstall service run uninstall.bat. This don't 
   removes any files. Only deletes service records from 
   the system registry.

*  To uninstall all Eserv files - run Uninstall.exe from
   Eserv folder or run Uninstall from menu 
   "Start/Programs/Eserv2"

Quick Start:

*  If you don't like read any documentation - you may start
   Eserv without changing any settings. All proxy servers 
   and also HTTP and FTP servers will work in the default
   mode.

*  When you need - you may find complete documentation in 
   the "docs"  folder and on the Eserv Site: 
   http://www.eserv.ru/

Web interface:

*  Start Eserv and try to access the Web-interface by 
   typing the folowing URL in the browser address bar:
   http://localhost:3128/

   or from others PCs in the LAN:
   http://Eserv_PC_name:3128/

Default passwords (for Web-interface and mailboxes):
