This demo will show you how EXSYS expert systems operate. We will start by
running several expert systems. Each is preceded by a short explanation of
what the demo is intended to show. The first will show you how to answer
the EXSYS questions and request more information on the rules.
EXSYS knowledge bases are very easy to use. When you are finished with
each expert system just press <D> when the program has reached its
conclusions, and then press <ENTER>. You will then go to the next demo
expert system. The last demo shows how EXSYS can use its built in report
generator to analyze data from a data base report. You will need to use
a parallel printer attached to LPT1 for this demo. This section of the
demo takes about 30 minutes.

You can then run the lessons on the rule editor to be shown how an EXSYS
knowledge base is created. A window will explain each step and the
program has been slowed down so you can see what is happening. All you
have to do is press the space bar when prompted. You do not have to input
any of the commands. Once you have seen a knowledge base created, read
the manual as it provides information not found in this program. If you
wish to go directly to the lesson on creating your own knowledge bases,
press <CTRL><BREAK> and then <Y> to exit from this batch file. Then
enter LEARN.
