This program requires VBRUN300.DLL.

You may use this program free of charge and you need not register it;
however, the interface for this program was written in Visual Basic. If
you want to be able to modify this program for use in other programs or
if you just dont like the way it looks, the Visual Basic source code is
available by registering (GO SWREG - $21.00, ID# 5391).

The DLL (READARCH.DLL) does the actual decoding of the archives based on
offsets into the binary file and has a couple of other utilities for
reading the dates on some files and listing PIT archives. Everything
else was done in VB so you can have the most flexibility to make changes
to the interface.

READARCH.DLL should be placed in your WINDOWS/SYSTEM directory or in the
same directory as AV.EXE.

Technical support for Archive Viewer is only available to registered
users.

This program is intended for private use and may not be included in
commercial products or resold.

Archive Viewer can extract files from the following archives with the
listed compression methods:

LZW w RLE - Lempel-Zev packing of repeated strings (new style)
LZW w RLE - Lempel-Zev Williams packing with improved hash function

Archive Viewer can also decompress files compressed with Microsoft
COMPRESS.

Archive Viewer may take a long time to list the contents of PIT archives
if the archive is compressed because it has to decompress the entire
archive before the contents can be listed.
