Hi.

Is it appropriate to post request for help to this mail group? If not
then accept apologies and read no further. If so then duck your head
because here comes a low level problem/question...

I have what I believe is an Aria 16 card that came in an IBM Easy Options
multi media package.

I'm having a problem running the new Monty Python cd-rom from 7th-Level on
the card.

The problem consists of the sound being very broken up at what appear to
be random times in the 'game'. The same passage may play fine once, and
then play it again and it's very broken up. I've already been through
most possible combinations of DMA/IRQ/IOPort settings with no luck. Have
also been working with a fellow at 7th Level for several weeks with no luck.
The sound is so bad that it makes the disc unusable.

So, first off, any ideas on what the problem might be and how to correct it?

I doubt it, so my second question is: Is there a way I can run the Aria's
SB emulation while in Windows (where Python is run) rather than the native
Aria driver?

Any help or direction towards help would be appreciated.

Tkanhs, Jim Holloway
