So, do you need fifty different piano's ?? ===> Buy an electric piano.

What a nice FM-card you have.

If you were buying a wavetable soundcard just for OS/2 or Unix then what
softaware were you expect to run ?? Most of the MIDI software runs on
Windows (or on an Apple/Atari/Amiga)
Besides there is being worked on some drivers for Linux/OS2. If you can't
tribute to them you shouldn't complain.

Good choices if you have some money to spend. (Although if you really want a
good wavetable cardI would buy a Turtle beach or Roland card.)

Still it is true that the wavetables are NOT the strongest point of the
aria-based card.
However the mod-files I heard sounded better on a Aria-based card than on a
GUS or SB-AWE32 (which is bassicly a SB-16 with wavetables). Most of the
cards give you all so a complete SCSI-2 interface and a REAL Digital sound
processor(DSP) and not a modified chip what only can compress sound. the
capabilities of a DSP are not fully used on the most cards, this is true,
but there is a lota DSP can do.
