                       PRODUCT OVERVIEW
                       ================

The Future Domain's Multimedia and CD-ROM Software package provides
SCSI interface to both CD-ROM drives and fixed disks under DOS and
Windows.

Future Domain's software supports all SCSI-1 and SCSI-2 fixed disks.
In addition to that, virtually all the popular SCSI-1 and SCSI-2 CD-ROM
drives are also supported. The following CD-ROM functionality are
supported:

         DATA I/O TRANSFER
         AUDIO
         PHOTO-CD (BOTH SINGLE SESSION AND MULTI-SESSION)

Refer to the FDCD.TXT file in the CDROM subdirectory for a list of
all the SCSI CD-ROM drives currently supported in this version.

In addition to the drivers, several CD-ROM utilities are also
included. These utilities provide the ability to play audio, lock
and unlock the CD-ROM drive door ,eject the disc electronically and
test the functionality of the CD-ROm drive.

                         INSTALLATION
                         ============

Installation of the drivers and utilities are all handled by the
SETUP.EXE program. This program can be run from either the DOS shell
or the Windows Program Manager. If you will be using Windows we
suggest that you run SETUP.EXE from the Program Manager. We also
encourage you to use the 'Express' option in the SETUP.EXE program to
minimize possible configuration conflicts.

SETUP.EXE will determine what drivers your system will need and
modify some or all of the following files after it had saved the old
copies:

         CONFIG.SYS
         AUTOEXEC.BAT
         SYSTEM.INI

You will then be required to reboot your computer system after all
the modifications had been made to load the drivers.

SETUP.EXE will also copy all the DOS CD-ROM utilities to your fixed
disk. The following CD-ROM utilities are included:

         FDAUDIO - DOS CD Player Utility
         FDEJECT - Ejects the CD electronically
         FDLOCK   - Locks the CD-ROM drive's door
         FDUNLOCK - Unlocks the CD-ROM drive's door
         FDCDTEST - Tests the functionality of the CD-ROM drive

                          LIMITATIONS
                          ===========

  Under MS-DOS Version 6.0 if you have a SCSI configuration that depends
   on a conditionally executing AUTOEXEC.BAT or CONFIG.SYS file, you may
   need to move the PowerSCSI! drivers to the appropriate section.
