INSTALLATION TIPS

Install the Monster Sound card into an available PCI slot and tighten the

bracket screw to the system chassis. After powering on the system Win95

will detect new multimedia hardware and prompt for the driver disk. Enter

the full path to the installation CD.

If you are running OSR2 you may be prompted a second time to locate

certain Monster Sound related drivers. Again respond with the full

path to the installation CD. For example, if your CD-ROM is drive

letter D: you will need to enter "D:\Win95".

After the drivers are installed, the Monster Sound setup program will

start. Follow the on screen instructions to install the utility software.

CONFIGURATION

Use the Monster Control applett located on the taskbar to change the

configuration of the Monster Sound card. This includes setting the output

mode (stereo vs. quad), configuring the output1 and output2 device(s), and

   assigning the preferred 3D device.

FEATURES

This release includes support for following functions and features:

      DirectSound and DirectSound3D (3D accelerated & enhanced via A3D)

      Windows Multi-Waveout full duplex audio

Windows MIDI (with wavetable daughter card)

      Windows Mixer

Sound Blaster Emulation for DOS based games (in Win95 DOS box)

      Accelerated Windows Gameport

LIMITATIONS

   1) This release does not support more than one Monster Sound card installed

      in your system.

   2) The Sound Blaster Emulation feature does not support FM or Gameport

emulation. It is recommended that you keep your existing legacy audio

card installed in your system for the best DOS application support.

   3) Digital joystick or gamepad devices may not work properly using the

Monster Sound gameport. If the joystick or gamepad supports an analog

configuration, try switching the device to analog mode, then recalibrate

and retest. Note: The Microsoft SideWinder(tm) gamepad does not support

analog mode and will not operate properly with Monster Sound for this

      release.
