EXTSETUP.COM for the 250-1087 External 5 1/4" Drive (UPDATED VERSION)

Software written for the CD-ROM is coded to look for Drive D. The
original driver for the external 5 1/4" drive (on Multi-media
computers) designated this drive as Drive D. Consequently, a conflict
arises. The EXTSETUP.COM allows the external 5 1/4" drive to be
designated as Drive B, thus resolving the drive designation conflict
between the external drive and the CD-ROM.

To verify that the updated setup file is being used, check the file
size and date to make sure is matches the line below:

extsetup.com 53612 7/12/93 2:09:04pm

This disk contains the following files--

   EXTSETUP.COM
   README.TXT

You can use the external drive as Drive B as long as you do not
already have a second floppy drive. It is not necessary to change
the CPU setup for the second floppy drive, since the external
floppy drive is not controlled by the floppy drive controller.

In order to obtain a printout of this README.TXT file, insert this
