- Hardware: FPU (80x87) required. Pentium or higher processor is recommended.
- Operating system: Windows 95/98. Executables: SOLEX32.EXE, FINDORB5.EXE
- SOLEX 7 computes high precision ephemerides over the time span -4500 +4500 by
numerical integration, whose starting conditions are read from the library
files PL*.BIN. The output very closely matches the JPL DE406 ephemerides.
Ephemerides for 19000 asteroids and 279 comets can also be computed.
Custom bodies and Earth's satellites can also be handled.
- FINDORB 5 is a program for orbit determination based on numerical integration.
The program inputs observational data of a Solar System body and outputs the
best fitting starting positions and velocities (and classical elements).
The computed starting conditions can be fed to SOLEX 7 to produce ephemerides.
The two programs share many data files and should run in the same directory.
- No installation is required. Simply copy all files in the same directory and
run the program within that directory from a DOS window.
- For complete documentation see SOLEX7.RTF and FINDORB5.RTF (RichTextFormat)

The programs are of public domain and can be freely distributed, but inclusion
in commercial software without the explicit consent of the author is forbidden.
