1. Description

GlobeSoft's MultiNet Manager is a product that is developed to assist users working in
Dynamic Networking Environments. Typically this could be a Lap Top user that needs to
connect to different Networks (ISPs or LAN) with different settings. It could also be
a workstation that needs to be reconfigured in a dynamic networking environment.

The basic, but also most essential part of the software deals with switching Network
settings related to connectivity such as IP address, DHCP, DNS, WINS, Proxy, map network
drives, map default printers etc. Instead of manually editing connection settings every
time, the user stores all these settings and can later switch between multiple settings
with the click of a button. Within a company the IT support desk can initially feed the
application with company related settings, which saves a lot of time and gives a standard
user interface for the users.

GlobeSoft currently has the only solution that fully utilizes the operating system to
assist the user in switching between networks without having to reboot. Basically, other
products typically only change the settings stored in Windows configuration database called
the registry where GlobeSoft has implemented a more sophisticated solution. The new release
of the MultiNet manager covers Win 95/98 and Win NT in the same application.

current directory.

3. First usage

The MultiNet Manager (MNM) lets the user independently create various
settings for connections, TCP/IP, Proxy and Domains/Network Clients.
The user combines these settings into a "session configuration".

The first time a user launches MNM, the first thing to do, is usually
to save the settings currently active on the computer. The best way to
do this is to create a new tab representing the current configuration.
From the new tab i.e "session configuration" save each of the individual
settings that you later want to be able to restore.

If you are using the MNM on WinNT, some functionality will not be availible
until your administrator either:

1. Adds you to the Local Admin Group
2. Grants you the required rights from the MNM preferences menu

The second choice is usually more desirable for corporations with strict
security policies. With the second choice the user will only be able to
perform privileged tasks available from the MNM.
