What is it?

An amusing little way to help yourself feel better about your earning potential.

Requirements:

The standard Visual Basic runtime files, available from several net locations
and not included in this archive to minimize size.

Description:

This is a "More Fun in Concept" product, meaning that it's probably good for a
couple of laughs before you get annoyed with it and delete it. It's not meant
to be a real problem solver, it's just for fun. So please no e-mails asking me
to increase the timing resolution to milliseconds or anything - if you're having
that much fun with it you should really be getting back to work...

-Concept--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Unhappy with your current job? Do you feel like your talents are going unnoticed?
Are you being paid less than you're worth? Do you often make comments to the tune
of "I could have any job I wanted in this town if...". Well, I won't give you a job,
but I will give you a concept and an app to help you utilize it!

Well, lately everyone's working extra hours for relatively small salary increases.
Sadly, it's to the point that you can't even complain about working overtime because
the guy in the next office has put in 20 more hours a week than you! Fortunately,
nature has kept us all from turning into raving lunatics by providing us with and
giving us a business justification for THE INTERNET - the world's most potent and
engaging timewaster around!

So, as many of you in the corporate world have an internet connection to goof off on,
it's not a far stretch to recognize that we're not all furiously pursuing the company
goals during the time period we're being paid! As a matter of fact, if you compared
the hours you actually spent accomplishing company goals to the amount on your pay stub,
you might find that for all intents and purposes that you're getting paid pretty well!

And so, Situational Aggregate Pay (or SAP) comes into play. SAP is a time tracker that
installs as an icon in your Windows95 system tray. By double-clicking on the icon you
can alternately "log yourself on" when you're actually doing your job and "log yourself
off" when you're goofing around. You input your base per hour pay rate and periodically
you can check the status and see how much you're actually being paid per hour for what
you're doing!

To further examine the math (it's not terribly complex!):

Your SAP pay rate = Your "official" pay rate * hours you have been at work
                            ------------------------------------------------------
the hours you've actually been working

So, when you're feeling underpaid, underutilized or generally rightsized, consult the
status of your SAP and feel better!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Program operation:

The program icon should appear on the tray. A red light by the brain means you're "off
the clock", a green light means you're actually working on company stuff. Double click
the icon to change status.

Right clicking gives you options to check your status, input your "official" pay rate
and to exit.

Not real complex.

Also, I basically did this in an hour or two for fun. If enough of you somehow get
