ArgoMap is a tool for the ArgoNaut program. It creates map-files, that is
to say register files for bmp-files.
This version is a b-test and its limited to a testzon in the south of Norway.
Please download the ArgoNaut program to learn more about this easy to
use navigation program. It communicates with 'standard' GPS-receivers like
Garmin 45 (incl. an NMEA 0183 interface).
It can be used by anyone who want to see his (or hers) position in a dis-
played map-window. For example: sailors, car-drivers, and walkers.
Maps or charts to be scanned and used in ArgoNaut can be of different
types, but they must contain geo-referencing lines (latitude and longitude).
Minimum two latitude lines and two longitude lines.
ArgoNaut is specially designed for sailboat-crews. The program include
optimization functions to help find the fastest route considering wind, current
and boat-data.
The program can generate different type of alarm-events. It has a log-book,
that is to say automatic storing of the route and notes of interest.
ArgoNaut can be used without GPS-equipment to help plan an optimal
sailing route and to measure distances.

Installation (suggestion):
1. Create a directory named c:\argonaut (sample bitmaps must be copied to this
directory).
2. Copy the argomap-files to this directory.
3. Start Argomap.exe.

The Argonaut-files are Argomap2.exe, Argomap.hlp
