Cherry Hill VM Comm Buffer Driver Copyright 1992, Cherry Hill Software

This driver is *NOT* in the public domain. See below for more information.

This is non-production software that has not been well tested.	As such:

NOTICE: THIS DRIVER IS PROVIDED "AS IS." CHERRY HILL SOFTWARE DISCLAIMS
	ANY AND ALL WARRANTEES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ORAL OR WRITTEN,
	INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTEES OF MERCHANTABILITY OF FITNESS
	FOR A PARTICULAR USE.

TO INSTALL:

    NOTE: THIS DRIVER IS WRITTEN TO WORK WITH WINDOWS 3.1 ONLY.

    1) Copy the driver to the WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.

    2) Edit SYSTEM.INI:
	a) Remove the line (or comment it out) that reads:
		device=*combuff

	b) In its place, add this line:
		device=chcomb.386

    3) Exit Windows

    4) Restart Windows

This driver is not expected to have any effect on Windows applications and
is only intended to improve performance of DOS applications.

If you have not done so already, you may wish to increase the size of the
VM communications buffer. For example, for COM1, you would add the
following line to the [386Enh] section of SYSTEM.INI:

	COM1Buffer=10000

Larger values have no effect. See the SYSINI.WRI file in your WINDOWS
directory for more information on this setting.

SUGGESTED DONATION: $10
    Along with the donation, if you send me the tackiest postcard that you
    can find, preferrably reflecting something in your geographical area,
    I will return your $10 if I don't already have the postcard in my
    collection (and it's *truly* tacky).
