DATA ENTRY
There are a number of ways to enter and edit data. The most
straight forward is to use menu choice # 1 "ADD A RECORDING."
Every time a new recording is entered the program verifies that
you do not already have the recording on file. If a possible
duplicate is found you are given a chance to cancel the entry.
Once you have entered a few recordings you can use menu choice #
5 "VIEW AND MODIFY MUSIC DATA BASE" to enter and edit recordings.
When you choose menu option # 5 to enter new records select the
(A)rtist index to view the data base. Pressing F1 at this point
will display your F key definitions. The F keys which work with
Menu choice 5 are:
F5 = Edit;  F6 = Print;  F7 = Search;  F8 = View;  F9 = New.
Pressing F9 "New" from menu choice 5 allows you to enter
recordings in the same manor as choice #1 above.

EDITS
There are a number of data entry edits. For instance if you
enter the value of a recording as greater than $18.00 or less
than $6.00 you are asked to verify the price. Pressing escape
will allow you to enter prices outside of this range. You can
also enter the minimum date for the date of purchase edit when a
new record is being entered. This edit date can be set on
** R E P O R T M E N U O N E ** with choice number 11.

RUNNING PROGRAMS
Once you have entered a few records all the programs listed
as part of ** R E P O R T M E N U O N E ** should run.
One helpful hint here is that if you enter any second artists
when you are creating a new record these artists will be
displayed when you run the RECORDINGS ON FILE BY ARTIST program.

SECURITY
When you first install the program the password is defaulted
to MUSIC. You can change this password under the SECURITY menu
option. If you forget your password you can reinstall the
default password with the installation program

DELETING RECORDINGS
Recordings can be deleted one of two ways. you can retrieve
the recording with menu choice 2 or the F5 key under menu choice
5 and enter "Y" in the delete box. Or you can press the "Del"
key when you are reviewing the data base under menu choice 5.
This will mark the recordings for deletion. To erase the
recordings select menu choice number 3. REMOVE RECORDINGS MARKED
FOR DELETION.
