Use the "bare_dos" (unofficial FreeDOS) floppy by doing this:

1). Boot the .IMG under QEMU, BOCHS, JPC, Retro, PocketDOS, etc.
2). Write to real floppy:
    a). "copy /b sfx14436.bin + bare_dos.img bare_dos.exe"
        "bare_dos.exe a:" (or b:)
    b). "diskcopy bare_dos.img a: /f" (or whatever)
c). or use rawrite, diskimg, dd, etc.
3). "unimg bare_dos.img" (extracts all files to dir on HD)

P.S. It's set up so that you can use it on 8086 (untested but should work)
or 386. If you don't need any of the 386 stuff, just delete it.
